A. [Look it up] God is willing to pardon all our iniquities and pass over our transgressions. He does not want to be angry with us. Instead He wants to be merciful to us and give us compassion. Q. What does God want to forget? Hebrews 8:12
A. “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” God wants to forget all of our wrongdoings and our lawless deeds. Q. Does God freely forgive our sins? 1 John 1:9
A. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Yes God does freely forgive our sins, but we must do something for His forgiveness. We must first show Him that we want His forgiveness by coming to Him and confessing all our sins.
Q. What does the prophet Isaiah say about our sins being blotted out? Isaiah 44:22
A. “I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.” God blotted our sins and transgressions out like a thick cloud, so we can return to Him and be redeemed.
A. “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins” (Isaiah 43:25). Here, again, God wants to blot out our transgressions and forget out sins. What a wonderful God He is.

But You are God, ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness, and did not forsake them.” It doesn't matter what we've done wrong, no one is too bad for God's forgiveness. If God was willing to do this for the people Nehemiah wrote about, God is willing to do it for all of humanity, no matter what. He stands ready, with open arms to welcome you to come to Him. God will not forsake you.

Q. Because God forgives us, shouldn't we also forgive others? Ephesians 4:32
A. “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Since God is willing to for give us of all our wrongs, we should be willing to forgive each other as well. Q. If some one has done us wrong and that person comes back to ask for forgiveness, what should we do? 2 Corinthians 2:7-9
A. “So that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him. For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.” If someone has done wrong to us and they come back to us to ask us to forgive them, we should not only for give but also reassure that person that things are okay now. A person who has realized that they have done some one wrong can appear to be truly sorry but we don't know how deep the sorrow goes. So just in case the person is letting their sorrow eat them up inside we need to truly forgive. Some times that is very hard to do, especially if what the person has done to us is really bad, but true forgiveness is a display of Christ-likeness.
